Tip of the Day
Problem Behaviors

I used to look at my dog Smokey and think, "If you were a little smarter you could tell me what you were thinking", and he'd look at me like he was saying, "If you were a little smarter, I wouldn't have to". -Fred Jungclaus

Ever wonder why your dog behaves the way he does or what could he possibly be thinking? Continuing education is important for you and your dog-as many wise horseman have said, "take the time that it takes and you won't have to spend more time later". Learn about dog behavior and training for your best friend now and save you both from many frustrations and problems later. And for those who have already mastered basic obedience, there's always so much more to learn!

Why Training is Important?

"Dogs often behave like small children". You've probably heard this comment from fellow dog owners. Puppies, like children, can be sweet, innocent and playful. They're not born with the knowledge of what is proper behavior. It is up to us to teach them how to be well behaved family members. I can help you learn better more effective ways to communicate with your pet.

My methods are positive and very effective. I love dogs, all dogs, big and small, puppy and adult, purebred and mixed. I will help you enhance the relationship with your canine friend. The key to this relationship is an understanding of your dog's behavior combined with consistent effective training regardless of age. While the best training period is during the puppy months, older dogs are extremely responsive.I believe whoever said that you can't teach a dog new tricks, just didn't know how.

Program Description. Angelic Canines Dog Training believes that the relationship between the dog and the pet parent is the most important aspect of dog training. This relationship must be balanced with leadership, communication and love. All training is humane and leaves the dog with their dignity, never forcing the dog into a desired behavior.

Problems such as chewing, barking, and jumping up will be eliminated. Your dog will learn to work for rewards and will find the training sessions fun and stimulating while creating a strong bond between you and your dog. Your dog will become a good citizen in different environments and with other animals as well as with people.

This is very rewarding for your dog and you! Safety issues are addressed, as your relationship strengthens, your dog will gladly come to you when called in any situation even with distractions. This can be life saving and will eliminate the fear and frustration that occurs with a dog who runs into the street or other dangerous situations.
